View Packages
Meridian Portal groups documents in packages to send them between project team members for different purposes (package types):
-
Transmittal: Delivered as part of a contractual obligation
-
Return: Returned to the sender for revision to comply with your organization's standards
-
Handover: Transfer of ownership
-
Approval: For final approval to release as documents of record
-
Review: For review as complete and accurate
-
External: For use and resubmission by external business partners
-

The system uses a predefined workflow to control which tasks can be performed on the packages. At each step in the workflow, a package is assigned a status for easy identification. For an overview of the workflow in Meridian Portal, see Workflow Actions.

Compliance check: Require checking for compliance with your organization's technical standards. For the non-technical compliance checks that Meridian Portal can perform, see Configure Document Compliance Rules.
