View a Document

Viewing a document opens its rendition in the Explorer viewer where you can zoom, pan, and explore the document.

To control the viewer, see Navigate a Document and Change the Viewing Area.

ClosedView a Document

To view a document:

  1. Find the document that you want to view as described in Find Items.
  2. Choose between two options:

    • In the document list, in the row of the document that you want to view, click the View icon A blue eye symbol. .

      The window refreshes to show the rendition.

    • To view a document from the View Rendition tab:

      1. View the Properties page of the document as described in View Item Properties.

      2. Click the View Rendition tab.

        The pane refreshes to show the rendition.

ClosedView Layers

If a document has layers, you can view them in a rendition.

To change the layers shown on a rendition:

  1. In the viewer, click the Panel toolbar button Gray unfilled rectangle with solid gray rectangle on left with four small with rectangles within it.

  2. Click the Layers two gray diamonds one on top of the other button.

    The pane lists the layers that you can show or hide. Mandatory layers are locked and cannot be hidden.

  3. Select the check boxes of the layers you want to show.

  4. Clear the check boxes of the layers you want to hide.
