Item properties are the information that is shown in Explorer about an item. The information is stored in Explorer (metadata), not in the item itself.
To view the properties of an item:
- Find the item for which you want to view its properties as described in Find Items.

Double-click the row of the item for which you want to view its properties.
The Properties sidebar slides into view from the right side of the page.
To find a property set on the Properties sidebar, select it from the Property Navigator list. The property list scrolls to show the selected property set.

To close the Properties sidebar, click the close icon
in the upper-right corner of the sidebar.
