Create And Edit a Collection
You create a collection from a selection of documents. You can also add documents to an existing collection.
Create a New Collection
You cannot create a new collection of the type Package using this method. Only empty new packages may be created or an existing collection of documents converted to a package as described in Create a Package.
To create a new collection:

In any view, in the results pane, select one or more documents and then in the Review ribbon, click Add to Collection.
The Add to Collection dialog box appears.

In the menu, click Create New.
The collection properties appear.

Click options or type values using the descriptions in the following table.
Collection properties Option Description Name
Type the name of the package as you want others to see it.
Collection type
Select the type of collection that you want to create.

In the menu, click Options.
The collection options page appears.

Click options or type values using the descriptions in the following table.
Collection options Option Description Including drawing references
If enabled, includes external references in the collection.

Click OK.
The selected items are added to the collection.
Add Documents to Existing Collection
To add documents to an existing collection:

Choose between two options:

To add one or more documents:

In any view, in the results pane, select one or more documents.

In the Review ribbon, click Add to Collection.
The Add to Collection dialog box appears.

To add all documents in a search result:

In the Review ribbon, click Select All.

In the Review ribbon, click Add to Collection.
The Add to Collection dialog box appears.

In the menu, click Existing.
The list of shared collections appears.

Select the name of the package that you want to add the items to.

In the menu, click Options.
The collection options page appears.

Click options or type values using the descriptions in the preceding table.

Click OK.
The selected items are added to the collection.
Note:Creating new documents while viewing a collection also adds the documents to the active collection.
Remove Documents from Existing Collection
To remove documents from an existing collection:

Open the collection from which you want to remove documents as described in View a Collection.

Select the documents that you want to remove from the collection.

Right-click over the selected documents and in the context menu, click Delete from <CollectionName>.
A dialog box opens, asking you to confirm your choice.

Click Yes.
The selected documents are removed from the collection.
