Due to Microsoft's upcoming deprecation of the Azure AD Graph API, we migrated some of our code to the Microsoft Authentication Library (MSAL). No action is required for customers implementing 2022 R2, but customers using Azure Active Directory for user synchronization in older versions of Meridian Enterprise will need to install a new version of the BlueCieloECM.EnterpriseService.Common.dll file. |

You can now configure the number of retry attempts that Enterprise Server will make if an email notification fails. The default value is 3, and the maximum value is 20. This setting is used when Enterprise Server tries to notify you about the status of Meridian Explorer synchronization jobs or the results of a publishing job. |

You can now configure the number of retry attempts that the Meridian Application Server will make if an email notification fails. The default value is 3, and the maximum value is 20. This setting is used when the vault is configured to send notifications upon a workflow transition. This value is stored as part of the MailServerParameters setting in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Cyco\AutoManager Meridian\CurrentVersion\Installed DataStores\<vaultname> registry key. |
MPS-30885 MPS-48239 |
You can now configure Enterprise Server to remove Portal import packages which have been successfully imported or closed. This functionality allows you to remove unneeded data and clear up disk space. |
MPS-34474 |
When the Change Priorities command is executed for a waiting project copy, the Object ID, Object Name, and Object Path fields are now populated in the Audit Log. To learn about the Change Priorities command, see Manage a Waiting List. To learn how to view the Audit Log, see View the Audit Log. |
MPS-47093 |
The Rendition Format and File Type fields have been added as columns to the metadata spreadsheet for import packages.
To learn more about the metadata spreadsheets used for import packages, see Create a Property Mapping Template. |

If there is a difference between the server clock and the client workstation clock, a file may be incorrectly treated as being newer in the vault than in the user's local workspace. This registry key value tells Meridian Enterprise the maximum allowable difference between the server clock time and the client workstation time in seconds. The default value of this registry key value is 1. |

VBScript allows you to display or hide pages and commands depending on the value of a property. If your configuration is complex this could result in decreased performance when the user is editing a property or wizard page, because PowerWeb needs time to evaluate these visibility expressions.
0 (default) – PowerWeb evaluates the visibility expressions as configured in the Configurator. 1 — When a user is editing a wizard page, PowerWeb does not evaluate visibility expressions related to the display of property pages. 2 — When a user is editing a wizard page, PowerWeb does not evaluate visibility expressions related to the display of commands. 4 — When a user is editing a property page, PowerWeb does not evaluate visibility expressions related to the display of property pages. 8 — When a user is editing a property page, PowerWeb does not evaluate visibility expressions related to the display of commands. To apply multiple settings at the same time, combine their respective values. As an example, to disable both property page visibility and command visibility expression when editing property pages, combine 4+8. The result is 12, which is the value you should use. |

We resolved an issue that caused SAML not to function in the 2022 release. This fix involves a new .dll file, which is included with the installer for 2022 R2. This .dll file works with the Meridian IIS application, but not the new PowerWeb IIS application. |
MPS-42273 |
We resolved an issue which prevented Hypertrieve from switching to multi-threading mode (which allows multiple concurrent queries to the database) after startup if a user performed a query during startup, when Hypertrieve is in single-threading mode (which only allows one query at a time). |
MPS-49105 MPS-47534 |
When you install the PowerWeb components during setup, Meridian now installs the components necessary to add print stamps to PDFs before the PDF is downloaded.

Client Improvements
We made these improvements to Meridian clients. Improvements apply to the PowerWeb client application unless otherwise stated.

If you are not currently signed in to Portal, you will first need to sign in. |
MPS-44473 |
If a user clicks a reference on the References property page, PowerWeb switches to the Folders view if the referenced document is not visible in the current view. |
MPS-27806 |
On the Tags property page, we have moved the Unlink button to the top of the pane, to the right of the Find Tags button. The Unlink button does not appear if the Tags list is empty. |
MPS-48348 |
Users without the Edit Tag Assignment privilege can no longer see the Unlink button on the Tags property page. Additionally, users can no longer see the Unlink button on the Tags property page for outdated revisions. |
MPS-28738 |
When you change the value of a single-select lookup list on a property page and switch to the Rendition property page, the changes you made on the previous property page are no longer erased. |
MPS-46746 |
Previously, if the user replaced the content of a document, renamed the document, and then downloaded the document to their local workspace, the content of the renamed document would be the previous revision of the document. To resolve this issue, Meridian now updates your site cache when you replace the content of a document, ensuring that the most recent revision is downloaded. |
MPS-45016 |
If the New Folder command is disabled for a scope, a user who is using that scope can no longer create a folder when creating a project copy. |
MPS-37560 |
If a user makes changes to properties on a property page and they press the Enter key on their keyboard, their changes are saved, instead of the document becoming locked. |
MPS-45676 |
The correct version of a document now downloads as expected when the user double-clicks the document to open or download it during a Quick Change or custom workflow. This issue only occurred when PowerWeb was being used without the Site Cache Client in Chrome or Microsoft Edge. |
MPS-25832 |
The Set Property Value command now respects the Required rule for a property. Users can no longer set the property value to an empty string using this command. |
Configuration Improvements
We made these improvements to Meridian Enterprise configuration.

MPS-26570 |
The Configurator now prevents you from saving a scope if there is no value in the Root folder field. To learn about how to create or edit scopes, see Create And Edit Scopes. |
MPS-29674 |
The columns selected for the References Dialog Columns layout now appear when creating a reference to a document, as expected, instead of the Search Result Columns layout. |
Customization Improvements
We made these improvements to Meridian Enterprise VBScript customization.

If the argument is included in your configuration, the user also sees a message in the Select Project dialog which says, "Expanding the project folder is disabled by the configuration beyond level [X]". This argument is useful for customers who have projects that contain large numbers of sub-folders. In these configurations, the number of sub-folders may lead to performance issues when users attempt to expand the folder list. |
MPS-25391 |
The PrepareCommand event now fires as expected when you click a command in PowerWeb. |
MPS-33819 |
Custom commands executed on a prior revision in PowerWeb now update the prior revision as expected, instead of executing on the current revision. |
Viewer Improvements
We made these improvements to Meridian Enterprise viewer.

You can now zoom up to 4000% in the PDFTron viewer. |
MPS-32387 |
When you search a document in PDFTron, your search terms are now highlighted. |
MPS-29709 |
The Redline button is no longer visible when you view an outdated revision of a PDF document. |
Explorer Improvements
We made these improvements to Meridian Explorer.

MPS-257 |
You can now create a hyperlink which can be used to download a rendition of a document. To use this functionality, you must have the View Rendition permission. |
MPS-48350 |
When you create a new collection in Explorer, the Edit, Delete, and Show Documents commands are now immediately available. Additionally, when you switch between collections, the documents in the currently selected collection now are displayed as expected. |
MPS-29476 |
Navigation view filters are now saved along with your other filters when you save a search, as expected. |
MPS-26962 |
The Legend now appears in the PDFTron Compare window as expected. |
MPS-23949 |
Previously, some users attempting to delete documents using a filter encountered an error when the filter contained too many documents. We have adjusted the functionality so that it avoids exceeding the query length limitation for the SQL engine. |
Publisher Improvements
We made these updates to Publisher.

When the size of a package export exceeds 100 MB and its destination is Meridian Portal, the export fails and a failure email is sent to the user. Additionally, as part of this ticket, the Notify submitter when publishing a document succeeded and Notify submitter when publishing a document failed configuration options have been removed from Meridian Portal publishing jobs. These settings are not applicable to Meridian Portal publishing jobs. |
