What's New in the 2023.1 Release

Meridian Cloud is software as a service (SaaS) that is continuously improved. We deploy these improvements to your account (tenancy) as soon as they are completed and tested.

Some of the improvements are minor and are immediately available to you to use. These typically have little to no impact on your data and processes and do not require configuration.

Some of the improvements are part of a major feature that has not yet been completed. These typically can have an impact on your data or processes and might require configuration.

Partial improvements are typically disabled in your account until the entire feature has been completed and tested. Each quarter, we enable the completed major features either for all Meridian Cloud accounts or for specific accounts after consulting with you.

ClosedRelease Schedule

Here are the scheduled dates of when the release will be made available to your tenancy.

Meridian Portal

  • Not for Production: May 16 (US), May 17 (EU)

  • Production: June 27 (US), June 28 (EU)

ClosedRelease Toggles And Feature Toggles

A release toggle is a temporary switch used while a feature is being developed and tested on Accruent-only tenancies. It hides the feature from production releases until the feature is ready for release. We enable all release toggles as part of the release process—first for Accruent-only tenants, second for customer non-production tenants, and finally for customer production tenants. There is 3 to 4 week gap between each step. The functionality enabled by a particular release toggle is noted below.

A feature toggle is used to configure an application depending on a customer's subscription level or unique needs. These can be changed per customer via a Support request. Learn more about feature toggles.

ClosedImprovements In This Release

The following tables list improvements in specific application or functional areas.

ClosedAdministration Improvements

The following enhancements have been made to system administration.

Reference Description

MPS-37196

You can now customize the columns which appear in the Documents list on the Package Details page using the Package Documents view type. This enhancement is enabled by the 2022_2_Configurable_package_documents_columns release toggle.

MPS-45186

MPS-46563

In Meridian Portal, you can now set a default value for properties per document type and per project type. This enhancement reduces the amount of time your users need to spend populating properties when creating or importing new documents. Default property values can be modified by users as necessary when they create a new document.

If the users upload and commit documents as new documents to a project repository, the document properties of the new documents will contain the default values for the selected document type.

MPS-50967 We updated the Meridian Cloud Connector to support the integration with AutoCAD 2023.

MPS-49126

We fixed an issue that caused Title Lines 2, 3, and 4 to appear as selectable when configuring properties for Project and Generic Document Types. Those properties are not available for these document types.

ClosedPortal Improvements

The following enhancements have been made to Portal.

Reference Description

MPS-35275

MPS-44208

MPS-35792

We've made some user experience improvements to search in Portal:

  • We've moved from preset search filters to dynamic search filters. This means that you can click the Add Filter button and select which fields to include in your search.

  • Search filters now appear at the top of the page instead of in the menu on the left side of the page.

  • You can filter documents by custom properties.

Property types supported for this feature are text, lookups, and date/time.

We've also added our saved search functionality to Portal. Saving a search stores your search filters so that you can return to the same list of items at a later time. This enhancement includes the following functionality:

  • You can save and update existing saved searches on the Documents List and the Packages List of a project.

  • You can open saved searches that you have saved or that have been created for you by your Tenant Administrator.

  • You can easily share saved searches by generating a hyperlink.

  • When a saved search is no longer useful, you can delete it.

MPS-50013 The retract option might not work for a valid reason, when the contained documents have already been processed in subsequent packages. To clarify it to the Document Controller, we improved the message that appears for this case.

ClosedPowerWeb Improvements

The following enhancements have been made to PowerWeb.

Reference Description

MPS-43546

If you have linked a project folder to Portal, you can access the Portal revision history of the documents in the folder by clicking a link on the Document property page. The same link will display regardless of whether you are viewing the current revision or a prior revision.

MPS-50967 We updated the Meridian Cloud Connector to support the integration with AutoCAD 2023.

Closed Explorer Improvements

The following enhancements have been made to Cloud Explorer and Classic Explorer.

Reference Description

MPS-49922

MPS-50355
