What's New in the 2022.2 Release

Meridian Cloud is software as a service (SaaS) that is continuously improved. We deploy these improvements to your account (tenancy) as soon as they are completed and tested.

Some of the improvements are minor and are immediately available to you to use. These typically have little to no impact on your data and processes and do not require configuration.

Some of the improvements are part of a major feature that has not yet been completed. These typically can have an impact on your data or processes and might require configuration.

Partial improvements are typically disabled in your account until the entire feature has been completed and tested. Each quarter, we enable the completed major features either for all Meridian Cloud accounts or for specific accounts after consulting with you.

ClosedRelease Schedule

Here are the scheduled dates of when the release will be made available to your tenancy.

Meridian Portal

  • Not for Production: August 23 (US), August 24 (EU)

  • Production: September 20 (US), September 21 (EU)

Meridian Cloud Business*

  • Not for Production: August 25 - August 29

  • Production: September 22 - September 26

*Exact dates will be communicated for each tenancy individually by email and inside the software.

ClosedRelease Toggles And Feature Toggles

A release toggle is a temporary switch used while a feature is being developed and tested on Accruent-only tenancies. It hides the feature from production releases until the feature is ready for release. We enable all release toggles as part of the release process—first for Accruent-only tenants, second for customer non-production tenants, and finally for customer production tenants. There is 3 to 4 week gap between each step. The functionality enabled by a particular release toggle is noted below.

A feature toggle is used to configure an application depending on a customer's subscription level or unique needs. These can be changed per customer via a Support request. Learn more about feature toggles.

The following tables list improvements in specific application or functional areas.

ClosedAdministration Improvements

The following enhancements have been made to system administration.

Reference Description

MPS-40041

We've added a new Project Exchange API to our Developer Portal. These API endpoints can support the exchange of project package information and documents with 3rd party applications, including status and metadata. From a 3rd party application, you can create the possibility to modify Meridian documents and send the updated documents back to Meridian. With the API endpoints, you can develop integrations that can:

  • Detect if there are new packages available for the contractor inside the tenant.

  • Retrieve, export, and download all documents per project ID and package number.

  • Upload documents to a project.

To learn how to access our API Developer Portal, see Meridian Cloud APIs.

MPS-39690

MPS-45883

For the As-Built API, the number of API calls is now limited to 100 calls per minute, and 1,000 records per call. The API will paginate the results for calls that exceed 100 returned records.

We've made several enhancements to the Cloud Explorer. These enhancements can be enabled with the 2022_2_Explorer_Enhancements release toggle:

  • In the Related Assets page, you can view assets related to a selected document.

  • In the Related Documents page, you can view documents related to a selected asset.

  • You can navigate from Related Assets to Documents and from Related Documents to Assets using a breadcrumb at the top of these pages.

  • If you have the Asset Linker, Asset Editor, or Asset Manager roles, in the Related Assets page for a document, you can link or unlink assets to a document. These actions are tracked in the Audit Log.

  • If you have the Asset Manager role, you can save your search results for assets.

  • There are two new pages for viewing references:

    • In the References page, you can view a list of documents linked from a selected document.

    • In the Where Used pages, you can view a list of documents linked to a selected document.

MPS-45760

When you select rows in the Documents or Assets view, an indication of the number of selected rows appears next to Documents or Assets at the top of these pages. If you change the active filter, the selected rows are cleared.

MPS-45887

  • On the Related Documents page, date filters open a date selector instead of a text field.

  • On the Related Assets page, the Status filter populates with status values instead of being empty.

MPS-45683

The link to a referenced document on the References and Where Used tabs of a document now opens the referenced document as expected.

MPS-45681

When you navigate to the related documents or reference documents for a document, the filters you applied for the master document are no longer applied to the records on the page. The default filters are used instead.
