How to configure the Meridian Publisher Job to use SharePoint Online Authentication
The currently released versions of Meridian Server support only Basic Authentication to authenticate with the SharePoint Online services.
Microsoft has started to deactivate Basic Authentication for its SharePoint Online and Office 365 tenancies.
There is a patch for Meridian 2021 R3 with which you can use SharePoint Online Authentication in the Publisher Job.
-
This change does not affect publishing to an on-premises installation of SharePoint.
-
Before installing any patch, we recommend that you ensure that the Meridian Backup and the Enterprise Server snaphot are ready in case of any inconvenience. Also, it is preferably to perform these changes in your test environment first.
