Printing to PDF results in incorrect page layout orientation
When printing renditions from PowerWeb, the orientation of the output does not match the orientation that was selected on the printer driver before printing. This occurs with Adobe Reader and PDFTron, using either physical or PDF printer drivers.
Different internet browsers produce different outputs. The best output is achieved when using Chrome.
PDFTron also has the following limitations:
-
the user doesn't have access to the native browser print dialog
-
the user doesn't know the print orientation of the browser dialog box or have access to the value
-
the user is unable to know when the drop-down value of the print orientation changes
Workaround
We recommend printing in portrait and then rotating the appropriate pages in Adobe Acrobat.
