Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.16.0 unsupported

Background

Meridian Enterprise supports the Office System Driver (Microsoft Access Database Engine Redistributable) as an alternative to Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition for storage of external lookup tables, the user account database, and local workspace data.

Meridian Enterprise 2018 and 2018 R2 support these versions:

  • Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0 (Microsoft Office 12.0 Access Database Engine OLE DB Provider)
  • Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.15.0; Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.15.0 (Microsoft Office 15.0 Access Database Engine OLE DB Provider)

Description

Not supported at this time is Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.16.0; Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.16.0 (Microsoft Office 16.0 Access Database Engine OLE DB Provider). Support is expected in a future Meridian version.
