Meridian PowerUser End of Life
We've developed new features to keep pace with our customers' and partners' needs and constantly evolving technology. To focus our development and support resources, starting with the 2025 release, Meridian Enterprise will no longer include the PowerUser application. Meridian Enterprise 2024 is the last release to include Meridian PowerUser.
Meridian PowerWeb is the successor to Meridian PowerUser, providing equivalent functionality to PowerUser. We've replaced the following features as they either rely on PowerUser or require a DCOM connection between the workstation and the Meridian server:
PowerUser Feature | Replacement |
---|---|
PowerUser 32-bit and 64-bit client applications |
|
PowerUser extensions |
|
Transmittal Management module |
|
Asssembly Import tool |
|
Document Import tool |
|
ActiveX controls in Application Integration | |
Autovue and ActiveX viewers |
|
From the Meridian 2020 release, the mentioned PowerUser features are:
- No longer included in setup.
- No longer tested with each new Meridian Enterprise release.
- Are only supported inline with active issues according to your current support level agreement. New issues are not supported by Accruent Technical Support or Accruent Professional Services.
Get prepared
If you have not done so already, we recommend that you make these preparations to minimize disruption in your business:
- Train administrators and end users to use the replacement features instead of deprecated ones.
- Modify the configuration in your environment to stop using deprecated features.
- Migrate all data managed by deprecated features to replacement features.
- Remove deprecated components from your environment completely.
- Modify all related or integrated systems accordingly.
