Error “No storage available. CONT could not be found”

Background

This error can occur because of several root causes that result in the file content of a document being missing when the document is synchronized to a Meridian Explorer repository.

Some example causes:

  • Attempting to synchronize a partial vault.
  • Vault was restored from a backup but some stream files are missing
  • Documents were assigned empty names by a bug in scripting
  • Vault inconsistencies

If running the Vault Consistency Wizard on the source vault does not resolve the error, the following workaround may be used.

Description

Set the IgnoreMissingContent option to true in the following file:

C:\ProgramData\BlueCieloECM\EnterpriseServices\MeridianDmsSettings.dat

This will disable the error message and allow the synchronization to complete without the missing file content.
