Error “Application Blocked by Java Security”

Background

A dialog box shows the message Application Blocked by Java Security. For security, applications must now meet the requirements for the High or Very High security settings, or be part of the Exception Site List to be allowed to run. This message can appear in any Accruent applications that use the AutoVue viewer in a client/server deployment and it prevents viewing documents.

A permanent solution for this problem is available from Accruent Technical Support. If you have this problem, please contact Support.

Description

To temporarily work around this problem:

  1. On each client PC, open the Java Control Panel and add the Meridian Enterprise web server address to the Exception Site List.
  2. Delete the Java Temporary Files.
  3. Test AutoVue. If a Java Security Warning dialog box appears, select I accept the risk and click Run.
