Error “Can’t load native library”
Background
This error can occur after installing AutoVue as a desktop deployment on a client PC and attempting to view a file. A dialog box shows the message Can’t load native library.
Description
To resolve this issue:
- Repair the Meridian Enterprise installation through the Windows Control Panel.
- In the Java Control Panel, on the General tab, click Settings and delete the temporary files.
- Also in the Java Control Panel, on the Advanced tab, set the JRE Auto-Download option to Prompt User.
- Add the AutoVue folder to the Windows PATH environment variable. By default, the location is C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Cyco Shared\AutoVue.
- Restart the PC.
