Error “Can’t load native library”

Background

This error can occur after installing AutoVue as a desktop deployment on a client PC and attempting to view a file. A dialog box shows the message Can’t load native library.

Description

To resolve this issue:

  1. Repair the Meridian Enterprise installation through the Windows Control Panel.
  2. In the Java Control Panel, on the General tab, click Settings and delete the temporary files.
  3. Also in the Java Control Panel, on the Advanced tab, set the JRE Auto-Download option to Prompt User.
  4. Add the AutoVue folder to the Windows PATH environment variable. By default, the location is C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Cyco Shared\AutoVue.
  5. Restart the PC.
