How to Manually Add Meridian Add-in to AutoCAD

If you install AutoCAD on your workstation after installing Meridian, the Meridian Add-in tab might not be added to AutoCAD.

To add Meridian Add-in to AutoCAD manually:

  1. In the AutoCAD command line, type "ARX".

  2. Press Enter.

  3. In the command line, type "L" (for "Load").

  4. Press Enter.

  5. In the Select ARX/DBX File dialog, browse to the ARX plug-in.

    The Meridian plug-in is located in the path below. Ensure to load the correct version of AutoCAD that is installed on your machine.:

    C:\Program Files\Meridian Cloud Connector\AmAcad[version].arx
    
  6. Click OK to load the ARX plug-in.

  7. Close AutoCAD and reopen it.

    If Meridian Add-in still disappears after closing AutoCAD, follow the steps below.

  8. In the AutoCAD command line, type "APPLOAD".

    The Load/Unload Applications Dialog appears.

  9. Navigate to the location of the AutoCAD .arx files.

    Usually, these files are found at C:\Program Files\Meridian Cloud Connector

  10. Select the AmAcad[version].arx file according to the AutoCAD version you use.

  11. Click Load.

  12. Click Startup Suite.

    The Startup Suite Dialog appears.

  13. Click Startup Suite.

    The Startup Suite dialog appears.

  14. Click Add.

  15. Select the AmAcad[version].arx file

  16. Click Open.

  17. Click Close to close the Startup Suite dialog.

  18. Click Close to close the Load/Unload Applications dialog.

  19. Close AutoCAD and reopen it.

    The Meridian Add-in loads when you open AutoCAD.
