Configure FTP Access

FTP connectivity is secured to only those IP addresses from where you plan to connect. You can whitelist IP addresses for FTP access. After a tenancy upgrade, your FTP whitelist settings are reapplied.

To manage your whitelisted IP addresses:

  1. On the Meridian Portal Landing page, at the bottom of the navigation bar, click the Account Settings icon A gear symbol..

    The Account Settings page appears.

  2. In the menu, click FTP Access.

    The FTP Access page opens. From this page you can view the current whitelisted IP addresses.

  3. Follow the appropriate procedures below.

The following list contains requirements for IP addresses or ranges entered on the FTP Access page:

  • The address must be valid IPv4 or IPv6 IP address or range.

  • IP address ranges must be between /31 and /23.

  • Duplicate IP addresses and overlapping ranges are not allowed.

  • The IP address must match the mask for the selected range.

  • Comma-separated lists are not allowed.

ClosedAdd IP Addresses to the Whitelist

To whitelist an IP address:

  1. Click the Add button A blue circle with a blue plus symbol in its center. on the upper-right corner of the page.

    The Add IP address window opens.

  2. Choose one of the following options:

    • To have the system automatically search and add your public IP address:

      1. Click Add my client IP.

      2. Enter a description.

      3. Click Save.

    • To manually add IP addresses:

      1. In IP address, enter an IP address.

        You can add up to 20 IP addresses.

      2. Enter a description.

        You can add descriptions with up to 250 characters.

      3. Click Save.

    • To add a range of IP addresses:

      1. In IP address, enter the range of IP addresses using CIDR notation.

      2. Enter a description.

        You can add descriptions with up to 250 characters.

      3. Click Save.

To delete an IP address from the whitelist, click the Delete button A blue trash can. to the right of the IP Address you want to delete.
