Remove Hybrid Parts

Detaching a part of a hybrid document separates the part and makes it an independent document.

Note:

  • You should only remove a part from a hybrid document that is in the Released state.

  • Hybrid documents should not be removed from a project copy. This would block the release to master.

ClosedPowerWeb Procedures

Use these steps for PowerWeb. In the 2022 release, we made it easier to remove hybrid parts.

To remove a part from a hybrid document:

  1. Display the property pages for the hybrid document for which you want to detach parts.

  2. Click Hybrid Parts in the upper-right corner of the page.

    The Hybrid Parts page appears, listing the names of the hybrid parts attached to the selected document.

  3. Right-click the hybrid part you want to remove.

    The context menu opens.

  4. Select Edit > Delete.

    A dialog box opens, asking you to confirm your choice.

  5. Click OK.

    The hybrid part is removed.
