Master Scope Roles

In this article, we list the default users and groups that are assigned to the Master scope roles and the functionality that is available to these roles in PowerWeb. Roles may be assigned to users or groups for specific folders as described in Assign Security Roles To a Folder. Users may be added to groups as described in Manage User Groups.

Scope Role to User Group Default Mapping

The table below lists the default user groups assigned to each scope role. Your Tenant Administrator may add or remove user groups from each scope role. For more information, contact your Tenant Administrator.

Master Assigner	Assign documents to projects inside assigned master areas (requires a role that can create documents in the Project scope)	Designers

Functionality Available to these Scope Roles

The functionality made available by each scope role is indicated in the following table. Scroll the table to see additional functionality. Functionality that is not listed in the table is not made available.

Important!

The functionality listed in this table does not necessarily correspond to individual security privileges—they may include multiple security privileges or they may not be controlled by a privilege at all. If a scope role makes a functionality available that is not allowed by a user's security role, the user's security role will override the scope role.
