View and Save the Audit Log Data

The audit log records significant vault events, including the date, user, action, item, and other details. Use it to track user, document, and project activity.

When you process documents in a batch, the audit log records a separate event for each document, regardless of whether authentication succeeds, fails, or you exit the authentication dialog.

When you activate the Meridian Enterprise FDA module, it allows you to view and save audit log data if you have the appropriate permission. Open the Audit Log Viewer to access, sort, and filter this data. You can also save the log as a file and open it in other programs, such as Microsoft Excel.

Prerequisites

You must have the View Audit Log privilege to use this command.

View Audit Log Data

• In Meridian PowerWeb > Vault ribbon, click Audit Log.

  The Audit Log Viewer opens.

Save Audit Log Data

1. Open the Audit Log Viewer.

2. Click Export.

   The audit log downloads to your computer as an .xlsx file.

3. If your browser blocks the download, adjust your security settings and retry.
