Disable Automatic Document Rendering

As a document controller, contributor, or administrator, you can disable automatic renditions on a per-document basis in Meridian Power and attach a custom rendition manually. When you disable automatic renditions, you must attach an up-to-date rendition before moving the document to the next workflow state.

This helps you:

  • Ensure the right rendition is sent forward if the automatic rendition doesn’t render the document correctly.

  • Preserve custom renditions that reflect specific formatting or content needs.

  • Prevent automatic publisher jobs from overwriting your manually attached rendition.

  • Maintain the manual attached rendition through workflow transitions and document publishing.

When you disable automatic rendering:

  • Meridian still applies watermarks on workflow transitions.

  • Workflow transitions don’t update title blocks in drawings. Before you create a PDF of the drawing and attach the rendition, make sure the title block is up to date.

Prerequisites

The document must be editable in the Under Change workflow state.
