View And Edit a Package

You may view any package.

ClosedView a Package

To view a package:

  1. In the view bar, click Collections.

    The list of active packages appears, sorted alphabetically by the package name. Packages that have already been sent are indicated by the Ready icon A green check mark.next to their name.

  2. Click the name of the package that you want to view.

    The contents of the package appear in the details pane.

The following table describes the icons that are shown for items in the collections list.

Collection icons

Icon

Description

A stack of papers with the silhouette of a person on top of it.

Private collection

This is the only package type that can be created by Meridian Portal users.

Shared collection

A green briefcase with a green circle on its lower-right corner.

Package with status Open

A green briefcase with a blue circle on its lower-right corner.

Package with status Sent

A green briefcase with a red circle on its lower-right corner.

Package with status Failed

ClosedEdit Package Properties

To edit the properties of a package:

  1. View the package that you want to edit as described in the preceding task.

  2. Right-click the name of the package and then click Edit on the context menu that appears.

    The Edit dialog box appears.

  3. If the Status property of the package is Open, you may edit properties on the Profile and Destination page.

    If the Status property of the package is Sent, you may only edit properties on the Profile page.

  4. Click OK.

ClosedDownload Package Metadata

To prevent you from receiving premature metadata, you may only download the metadata for packages that have been sent.

To download the metadata for a package:

  1. Choose between two options:

    • In the Collections view, right-click the row of the package for which you want to download its metadata and then click Download metadata on the shortcut menu that appears.

      A Microsoft Excel file downloads to your browser where you can open or save it.

    • View the package for which you want to download its metadata as described in the task at the beginning of this topic.

  2. In the toolbar, click Download metadata.

    A Microsoft Excel file downloads to your browser where you can open or save it.

  3. Click OK.

ClosedOpen a Package Sent to Meridian Portal

To open a package sent to Meridian Portal:

  • In the Collections ribbon, click Open Package in Portal.

    The package opens in Meridian Portal in a new browser tab.

ClosedDelete a Package

To delete a package:

  1. View the package that you want to delete as described in the task at the beginning of this topic.

  2. Right-click the name of the package and then click Delete on the context menu that appears.

    A dialog box opens, asking you to confirm your choice.

  3. Click Yes.

    The package is deleted.
